You are looking at the #1 highlight from Fender’s Summer VIP Dealer Event at NAMM 2018. Through Fender’s raffle system, there were hundreds of dealers across the world who tried to purchase this Telecaster – more than any other instrument of the evening, giving it the title of #1 highlight at NAMM 2018. Since then, the guitar was purchased from a dealer and kept in pristine, unplayed condition. We’re very lucky to be able to offer such a unique and rare guitar!

To start with, there is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity humbucker in the neck pickup, and a hand-wound Texas Special bridge pickup in a reverse angled position using a left-handed bridge assembly. The Custom Shop has even gone to the effort of reversing the control panel too! The electronics on this Tele feature a smooth-sounding Grease Bucket tone control and a very dynamic Tone Saver volume control. Turning the volume from 10 to 7 has a dramatic result, at 7, this guitar sounds like a crisp Tele, but at 10, it sounds like it’s being played through a clean boost – another extremely useful feature that’s unique to this guitar. SFA stands for Super Faded Aged – only a few of these were ever made for the USA market and are considered hard to get a hold of. Add into the mix a ‘Red Sparkle’ finish and a tasteful relic and you get one special Tele that we’ll be sad to see go!
