Back in 1970, Eric Clapton famously switched from predominantly playing Gibson guitars to playing a Fender Stratocaster, largely due to his influences from Jimi Hendrix and other guitarists. Being one of the most acclaimed and enduring artist signature models from Fender, this guitar has been built to the specifications of Eric Clapton himself and is packed with special features for incredible tone and playability. Between 1974 and 1985 Clapton used Blackie almost exclusively both on stage and in the studio, recording hits such as “Cocaine”, “Wonderful Tonight”, and “Lay Down Sally”!
