In 1960, the original Les Paul Standard saw its final iteration, closely resembling the 1959 model with only minor variations. Notably, it featured a sleek, fast-playing slim neck profile, cherished by renowned musicians such as Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Paul McCartney who favored the ’60 Bursts. Additionally, it sported “reflector” Volume & Tone knobs and broader “double-ring” tuner tips. The Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue faithfully replicates these originals, employing hide-glue construction and meticulously re-engineered plastic components. Crafted with meticulous care and attention to detail by skilled Custom Shop artisans, each instrument offers an unparalleled vintage ownership experience.
