A 1963 Fender Strat is considered by many to be the best guitar ever produced, with original examples fetching well over £20,000. Former Fender Master Builder John Cruz is a big fan of the ’63 Strat and his take on it is one of the best guitars to ever come out of the Custom Shop. Originally introduced at NAMM in 2014, the Master Design Custom Shop guitars were limited to 100 pieces each and sold out instantly – they are now very rarely seen on the second-hand market. All in all, this is one of the finest and highest spec’d Strats we’ve had the pleasure of playing, and one that has the added collectability factor. It’s hard to say exactly what this guitar would fetch on the second-hand market, but if you were to spec this guitar with Fender’s Custom Shop today, it would cost you north of £6000 – I think that says it all!

Can the draw date change?
